Decided quite late to leave the cruise ship and take the option of an o’night stay in Bangkok. Checked out a few transport options and settled on Kiwitaxi and we’re glad we did. Seamless booking, kept in contact, leading up to pick up, very pleasant, safe and efficient driver, very little English (and our Thai is non-existent) but he had all the information. The car was late model and very clean. We’re using the company again for our return trip - so far, seamless process. Highly recommend..

The booking was easy and choices of cars were great. Driver came early and I’ve seen him do final preparations for the car before sending us a message that he has arrived. Gentleman, dressed nicely, took our luggage in the car and closed our doors. The car was clean, driving was nice and we came with no issues or delays. There was even an accident on the road to which he took another route and saved us some time. 10/10 would recommend.

How to Get to Hintertux
A popular Austrian ski resort of Hintertux is located in the western part of the country. As its highest peak reaches the height of 3250 m, the village offers winter sports activities all year round. In this article, we share advice on how to get to the resort from the nearest major cities and other places.
Taxi to Hintertux
You may easily find Munich taxi services’ contact details on the web. The same can be said about Salzburg. Taxi companies are likely to offer you a flat price for a ride to Hintertux. To avoid any kind of misunderstanding, take care to negotiate a fare before getting in the cab. A taxi trip from Munich will cost around 300 euros and take 3 hours. Reaching the resort from Salzburg will make 280-290 euros and 3 hours as well. If departing early in the morning you may find it more convenient to use pre-ordered transportation.
Transfer to Hintertux
Compared to taxis, a pre-booked transfer is a more reliable and comfortable way of traveling. You won’t have to wait for a car to come over to your place, as it will be at the agreed place 10-15 minutes before the departure time. With a private transfer, you may choose a suitable vehicle class to make a trip convenient for each passenger and have enough space for luggage.
To reserve a Kiwitaxi transfer, specify full information on your travel in the booking form: pick-up address and time, a drop-off point, and a number of passengers. Remember to order child seats for small children traveling with you. You’ll know a fare at the moment of booking and it’ll stay the same until the end of the journey. A 3-hour transfer from Munich to the resort will cost from 297 euros. Getting from Salzburg Airport will make from 393 euros, taking about 2 hours and 20 minutes. You may pay for a transfer online by credit card or in cash upon arrival at the destination.
You’ll be timely picked up by your driver and swiftly and safely reach Hintertux. Kiwitaxi driver can even help you check in at the hotel if you need some language assistance.
Public Transport to Hintertux
Unfortunately, you can’t get right to Hintertux by public transport. The nearest point you may reach is Innsbruck, from where you’ll have to take a taxi or transfer. One may get to Innsbruck from Salzburg by bus for 17-21 euros per ticket and 3,5 hours. A journey to Innsbruck from Munich will take around 2,5 hours and 7-12 euros per passenger.
Public transport’s timetable is quite changeable, and you’d better check it beforehand.
About Hintertux
Apart from skiing activities in winter, the area is also suitable for mountaineering. In summer, the village is a great hiking place.

How do I find and book a transfer?
Specify the place of departure in the "From" field, and your destination - in the "To" field. You can choose the desired city, airport, train station, port, and hotel from the drop-down menu or enter the exact address of the place.
Click the button "View prices". Choose the suitable transfer class and click "Book" to proceed to the booking.
How far in advance should I book a transfer?
Minimum time of pre-order depends on the vehicle class.
If you want to book vehicles of Premium class or Minibus 10, 13, 16, 19 pax, you can make a booking not less than 24 hours before the trip.
If you choose standard types of vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax), transfer must be booked not less than 16 hours before its beginning.
If your trip starts later than the time given above, you can make an urgent booking. It will take some time for us to find a car. We will inform you as soon as possible if we can provide the service.
How do I know if my booking has gone through?
After you make your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a voucher containing your booking number and all the details of your journey.

What should I do if my flight is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number sent to you before, Kiwitaxi support manager via email support@kiwitaxi.com or in online chat.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
How can I find my driver?
Important note: the driver will meet you with the sign showing your first and last names, which you specified during the booking.
If a pick-up place is an airport, the driver will meet you at the exit of arrivals area of the airport after you passed passport control and claimed baggage.
If a pick-up place is a hotel, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby.
Meet-up instructions are given in the voucher confirming your booking.
