Secret Cafés in Kaleiçi
The Old Town of Kaleiçi is my favorite part of Antalya. Lose yourself in its maze of cobblestone streets, where wooden Ottoman houses lean over narrow lanes and cats nap under bougainvillea vines.
Tucked between antique shops and art galleries, you’ll find small cafés with leafy courtyards. My favorite is Macha Café - a peaceful garden filled with locals, homemade desserts, and the quiet hum of daily life. It’s the kind of place where an hour easily becomes three.
Quiet Bays
While Konyaaltı and Lara Beach draw the crowds, Antalya hides quieter, more soulful shores. Adrasan and Phaselis Bay are where locals escape - turquoise coves surrounded by pine forests, where the sea is calm, and time moves slower.
Bring a book, pack a picnic, and spend the day like the locals do - swimming, resting in the shade, and enjoying the sound of cicadas instead of car horns.
Ancient Ruins in Nature
If you love history and nature, skip the tour buses and head to Termessos - an ancient city perched high in the Taurus Mountains. The climb takes you through pine forests and crumbling archways, until suddenly the view opens up to breathtaking mountain panoramas. It’s one of those places where you can truly feel the weight of history - and the peace of silence.
