Orio al Serio Airport is known as Bergamo Airport. The airport is located 3km from Bergamo city centre. Most tourists come to this airport, however not to visit Bergamo, but get to Milan. This is encouraged by cheap airlines (low-cost carriers) which often offer ticket sales (for instance, Ryanair, Wizz Air). This is the second largest airport in Milan. It is quite small and has only 1 terminal.
Three Bergamo-Milan buses (Terravision, Autostradale, Orioshuttle) depart from the only airport terminal about every 30min. The average duration of the bus trip is about 1h. The bus ticket bought online costs EUR 4-5. If you buy it on the spot, the price will be higher. Tickets are free for children under 4 years old (Terravision) and under 2 years old (Orioshuttle). Buses don’t run at nighttime.

The bus stop is located right at the exit from the airport. As there is only one airport terminal, you won't spend much time looking for the bus stop.
First, you'll need to get from the airport to Bergamo train station by ATB bus. After that, you'll need to buy a train ticket from Bergamo train station to Milano Centrale train station or Milano Porta Garibaldi. Trains run from 11:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. departing every 30min. Getting from Bergamo Airport to Milan by train is more expensive than gettting there by bus. Also, this trip is much longer.

You need to go by the ATB bus to Bergamo train station. The ATB bus stop is located outside Bergamo Airport. At the train station, you'll need to buy an electric train ticket to Milan. Your platform will be specified on your ticket. To get to it, follow special signs at the railway station.
If you don’t want to wait for a bus and would like to get to Milan as fast as possible, it’s worth taking a taxi or a transfer from Bergamo to Milan. If you arrive at nighttime (buses and trains are not available at night) or are travelling with small children, you can take a taxi at the airport or book it in advance. Taking a taxi from Bergamo is more expensive than getting from there by bus or train, but at the same time it is much more comfortable.
