Ataturk Airport will be closed for passenger flights on the 6th of April 2019. However it’s going to work for cargo planes and VIP delegation until 2022. A public park is going to be established instead of the airport in the future.

As for the trip by plane, it is not that simple: Gazipasa Airport is the closest airport to Alanya, and the distance between them is 37 km. So you should also add 1 hour you will spend getting to the city to the plane travel time (1.5 hours). Planes are not available at night.

Buses from Istanbul to Alanya depart from Bayrampasa bus station which is 15 km from Ataturk Airport and 54 km from Sabiha Gokcen Airport. You can take the Pamukkale bus which departs 6 times a day. Buses are also available at night - there are two overnight journeys. The travel time is 12.5 hours, the ticket price is $31.5. The trip is long, however buses are quite comfortable inside: they have sockets, TV, and comfortable seats.
