How to get from Istanbul to Alanya?
Ataturk Airport will be closed for passenger flights on the 6th of April 2019. However it’s going to work for cargo planes and VIP delegation until 2022. A public park is going to be established instead of the airport in the future.
There are two options to get from Istanbul to Alanya: by bus or by plane. The trip by bus takes more than 15 hours (including all changes and waiting time), the ticket price is $31.5. The Istanbul to Alanya bus is the most budget but at the same time the longest travel option. However, there are also some night journeys on the route, so you can have a sleep during the trip. As for the trip by plane, it is not that simple: Gazipasa Airport is the closest airport to Alanya, and the distance between them is 37 km. So you should also add 1 hour you will spend getting to the city to the plane travel time (1.5 hours). Planes are not available at night.
