The cost of living depends on the season. On average, the price of a double room in a five-star hotel starts from 1100 euro per day, in a four-star hotel – from 850 euro. The terms of comfort in a four-star hotel are practically the same as in five-star ones.
Below we will describe some popular hotels.
Le K2 Altitude is named after the second highest peak in the Himalayas. The hotel is located in the heart of Courchevel 1850. After skiing, you can relax in the pool, spa, sauna or hammam (Turkish bath).

Annapurna is named after the world’s most dangerous peak. The main advantage of the hotel is its location near the popular Pralong ski track. Annapurna offers spa treatments and some pools combined into one complex.

Here are some more noteworthy hotels:
Hotel Les Peupliers (****), highest-rated on Tripadvisor 2019;
Les Suites de la Potinière (*****) with excellent interior design.

Le Lana (*****) in the old Alpine Provence style.
Robert J, a Tripadvisor forums user, notes:
The Lana is among the oldest and most well known hotels in Courchevel. The location of the hotel is great, right on the slopes and within walking distance from the city. The hotel offers a pool and a gym. The gym is great, but the pool rather small. The rooms could be improved, especially the bathrooms that are rather old fashioned. The food and beverages charges are very expensive.
Chalets in Courchevel
It’s an excellent option for a big family. The rental price for the most modest chalet starts from 2500 euro per week. On average, the price reaches 7000–10000 euros, while the upper bound is practically unlimited.
Imogen S, a Tripadvisor forums user, is delighted with the chalet Barragiste but warns that it’s not for beginner skiers:
We spent Christmas at Chalet Barragiste with extended family. Eddie & Ella looked after us so well, could not do enough for us! The food was incredible 😍 The chalet itself was perfect, with plenty of communal spaces & hot tub with mountain views. Just be warned that it’s up a hill to get to & ski in/out isn’t suitable for beginners.

It’s better to rent the whole house, but sometimes you can rent a room in the chalet. However it’s not very convenient: a line for the bathroom, a crowded kitchen and so on.
Contrary to stereotypes, the housing prices in Courchevel can be both high and quite affordable. The most pleasant thing is that budget housing options might be situated pretty close to the slopes and the lifts.
