Transfers vs. Public Transport and Taxi in Belek
Belek is one of the newest, but already one of the most popular resorts in Turkey. The nearest airport is 30 km away, in Antalya, and one can get from there to such holiday destinations as Side, Kemer, and Alanya by car in 1-2 hours.
As transport connection with the city is not well-developed enough, it makes sense to plan in advance, how to get from the airport to Belek or the other way round.
How to get from Belek to the airport, train station or to the neighboring cities
Tourists have only three options:
- buses. There are no direct buses from the city to the airport. You should first get to the bus station in Antalya by dolmush or bus (they run up to 4 times an hour), and then change to a Havas bus or city bus routes N600, 600А (which run 1–2 times an hour) going to the airport;
- taxi, which can be booked by phone or taken at the special rank. Popular aggregators like Uber do not operate in Belek;
- transfer, booked online in advance.
Inter-city buses going from Ankara to Alanya also stop at the bus station in Antalya as well as buses from Afyonkarahisar to Manavgat, Bursa to Alanya, Kastamonu to Manavgat, Manavgat to Ereğli, Serik to Camlihemsin, and from Çanakkale to Alanya.
Transfer in Belek vs. Taxi taken at the rank or ordered by phone
Advantages of a private transfer
Individual transfer at the same price or cheaper. Taxi from Belek to Antalya center costs 180 Turkish lira (51 dollars), and to the airport — 140 lira (40 dollars). Kiwitaxi transfer on the same routes costs 47 dollars and 42 dollars respectively.
Price will not change at night. Night taxi tariff is 50% higher, and the transfer price is fixed.
Order without problems in the language you speak. In order to take a taxi in Belek, you should call by phone or go the special rank. In both cases, you will have to explain to a Turkish driver where to drive to, and they mostly do not speak English. On the contrary, you can easily book a transfer in English on our site, and our driver will meet you right near your hotel and already will know the route.
Transfer in Belek vs. Buses
Advantages of a private transfer
Two hours faster. The way from Belek to Antalya bus station including waiting time will take around 1 hour 25 minutes, and to the airport — another 1 hour 45 minutes. In the end, you will have to spend a bit more than 3 hours. With Kiwitaxi, you will get from Belek to the airport in 50 minutes.
Travel even at night. Buses № 600 and 600А run from 06:00 to 01:05 (there is one bus at 03:45), and Havas — from 04:30 to 22:00 (one bus at 02:00), and dolmush has no timetable at all. Transfer can be ordered for any time.
No changes. Instead of carrying all the suitcases yourself and change from one transport to another, you can travel to your destination by transfer without unnecessary stops in a comfortable car.
Disadvantage of a private transfer
If you are travelling in a group of three, you will pay 5,2–8,3 dollars more for each person. A trip by bus or dolmush from Belek to Antalya costs 15–20 Turkish lira (4,3–5,7 dollars), to the airport by bus №№ 600, 600А — 5 Turkish lira (1,4 dollars), and by Havas bus — 11 lira (3,1 dollars). A private transfer of a micro class for three people costs 42 dollars.
Kiwitaxi also arranges shared shuttle service from the airport to a hotel, which costs 14 dollars for a seat.
