How to Get from Antalya Airport to Side
Antalya air hub is a starting point for travelers heading to various Mediterranean resorts. One of these destinations is the city of Side - a mysterious ancient place which looks like an outdoor museum. The distance between Antalya Airport and Side is around 75 km. There are three options to cover it: by public transportation, taxi, or transfer ordered in advance.
Taxi from Antalya Airport to Side
To hire a taxi at the airport, just go outside the terminal. You will see a line of cars waiting close to its exit. Local taxis are bright yellow, so you will notice them immediately. Also, you can order a car with some online services or via phone. Taxi rides from Antalya Airport are rather pricey: getting to Side will cost €60 on average. The average duration of the trip to this resort is 1.5 hours. Also, bear in mind that taxi tariffs increase by 50% at nighttime.
Transfer from Antalya Airport to Side
A private transfer is an ideal option for those who don’t wish to make any stops and changes along the way and don’t want to communicate with local drivers. A journey to Side from Antalya Airport for 4 people costs €42. You make your transfer booking online in advance and thus avoid lots of hassle after arriving at the airport. There’s no need for you to look for your driver on the spot: he/she will be waiting for you close to the arrivals area at the time appointed. Using a private transfer, you reach your destination safely and fast.
You may also order a return transfer if you need to go back to Antalya Airport after a while.
Public Transport from Antalya Airport to Side
There is no way to reach Side from Antalya Airport directly. You’ll have to make two changes along the way. At the airport, take the bus N600 which will get you to Antalya bus terminal (its fare is 5.2 lira or around €1). In Antalya, take the dolmus or bus to Manavgat. Ask the driver to make a stop in the place where you can take the dolmus to Side (it is at Migros Mall). Finally, get on the dolmus to the resort. The total cost of your travel to Side from Antalya will be 18-20 lira (around €3.3-3.7).
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to go from the airport to Side during night hours. Public transport won’t run, so you’ll be able to use only taxis and pre-ordered transfers.

Tourists usually come to Side for excursions as it is full of historic sights. The landmarks which should be seen first are the ancient amphitheater, the central city gate, the Temple of Apollo, and the Museum of Ancient Art.
