Transfers vs. Other Ways to Get from Antalya Airport
Antalya is one of the major destinations in Turkey as the busiest southern air hub of the same name is located here (Antalya Airport). During summer leisure season, tourists, intending to visit Kemer, Alanya, Side, Beldibi or other resorts, first arrive to Antalya, from which they can easily make a change to their destinations. There two international terminals and one domestic terminal there.
How to get from Antalya Airport to the city and the other way round
Antalya Airport is only 14 km away from the city. So it is quite logical that there are several types of transport connecting the air hub and the city center:
- city buses 600, 600A, which go to the historic city center Kaleici, districts Lara and Konyaalti as well as the central train station and a shopping mall “Migros”, where the transport leaves for the neighbouring provinces;
- taxis, called by pressing a special button or flagged down on site;
- airport transfers, booked in advance on the website.
Transfer vs. Taxi from Antalya Airport called on site
Advantages of a private transfer
No middlemen involved. Antalya Airport taxi drivers are mostly the Turkish men and logically speak Turkish. An English-speaking ground staff can help you establish the initial contact with the driver, but during the trip you can hardly ask for a stop or something else. Most Kiwitaxi drivers speak English. Besides, you can always call an English-speaking support service.
No queues and turmoil. At the Airport there are two taxi lines: one to Antalya, and the other one to Turkey resorts. It is easy to mix the lines and get to the wrong destination. To avoid queues, use our service – we will take you wherever you need.
Disadvantage of a private transfer
Twice as expensive (except at night). For the taxi ride from the airport a taxi driver will charge around 50 Turkish lira (~$15), whereas the transfer costs from $33. Night taxi fare, however, is as twice as high and is more or less equal to our service price.
Call a taxi by pressing a button. It is remarkable, that in Turkey there are special buttons in the streets designed to call a taxi. Blue, white and yellow buttons are located in the streets. Unfortunately, there is no such a button for calling our service.
Transfer vs. Bus from Antalya Airport
Advantages of a private transfer
Twice as fast. Given the waiting time and the trip time, a bus from Antalya Airport will take you to the city for 1 hour 40 minutes. Our drivers will take you there for 45 minutes.
It brings you straight to the hotel. The final bus stop is the bus station. If you need to get to the hotel, you will have to change.
Comfortable trip. City routes 600 and 600A are regular. In rush-hours they may be crowded and you will have to stand the whole trip. In the transfer the seat is secured for you.
Disadvantage of a private transfer
Predictably more expensive. Bus ticket as of the beginning of 2017 costs 4 lira ($1), and the transfer — $31.
Transfer vs. Antalya Airport shuttle buses
Advantages of a private transfer
24-Hour service. The only night shuttle service Havaş leaves the airport at 02:20.
Depart right away. Unlike public transport, shuttle runs once in an hour. Missed it? You will have to wait. With Kiwitaxi you will get to the city faster than by any other transport.
Any city in Turkey. The transfer from Antalya Airport will get you to any resort of Turkey. Shuttles have only one route – to the shopping mall “Migros”.
Disadvantage of a private transfer
10 times as expensive. A shuttle ticket costs only 10 lira (~ $3).
