Taxi to Zermatt
As it is a car-free town, the nearest point (7 km far) where cars can get to is the town of Täsch. There one can catch a local train or a special taxi to Zermatt. You may take a cab from Geneva Airport to Zermatt for 340 euros spending nearly 3 hours. A 4,5-hour trip from Zurich air terminal will cost around 480 euros. Getting from Milan Malpensa by taxi will make 280-300 euros and 3 hours.
Transfer to Zermatt
To save time on searching a taxi to Zermatt, you may take care to pre-arrange it. With a pre-ordered transfer, you’ll save 10-15 minutes at the airport, as you won’t have to wait and will have a car at agreed time. You can make a reservation on Kiwitaxi website at any time, as the service is available 24/7.
To book a transfer, specify your pick-up place, fill in the flight number, and indicate a drop-off point. Provide a number of passengers and child seats if needed. Kiwitaxi fares are fixed and correspond to a chosen car class. A 3-hour taxi transfer from Geneva air hub costs from 452 euros. Fares for getting to the resort from Zurich air terminal and Milan Malpensa start from 473 euros and 263 euros, and the trips take 4,5 and 3 hours respectively.
Your transfer driver will meet you in the arrivals hall with a name sign. After helping you with luggage, they’ll safely and comfortably bring you to Täsch. You’ll enjoy a swift and smooth transfer trip.
Public Transport to Zermatt
The town is linked to other destinations in Switzerland with the Swiss Rail network. Several trains depart from Geneva Airport daily, taking around 4 hours and costing 73-136 euros per ticket. A rail trip from Zurich air hub costs 81-150 euros per person and takes 4 hours as well. A travel from Malpensa air terminal makes 4,5 hours and includes changing two trains. The ticket price ranges from 59 to 102 euros.
Although local rail service is quite comfortable (and rather expensive), there may still be a problem with luggage space.
