How to Get to Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada is located in Andalucia. This most southern European ski resort attracts people from all over the world. Visitors often wonder how to get there from nearest cities. Ones prefer to take a taxi or order a transfer, while budget travelers choose public transport.
Taxi to Sierra Nevada
An average fare of a 1-hour taxi from Granada Airport to Sierra Nevada is 95 euros. A car can be taken outside the terminal. A 2-hour 30-minute cab trip from Malaga Costa del Sol will cost you around 245 euros. A price depends on a taximeter. However, it is possible that some taxi drivers will not agree on going to Sierra Nevada. Therefore, we advise you to order a transfer beforehand. By this way, you will save your time and money, as in case of traffic jams, the price for a taxi can be too high.
Transfer to Sierra Nevada
In case you plan everything in advance, you might want to know more about a pre-booked taxi transfer. The Kiwitaxi company provides its customers with comfortable cars and fixed prices. Thus, a transfer to Sierra Nevada from Granada Airport costs 84 euros, and from Malaga one – 168 euros in an economy-class car.
If your group is big, you might order a minibus. Fares of such a transfer can be found on our website.
We also organize cars from Marbella, Cordoba and many other cities. A transfer can be booked directly on the Kiwitaxi website. In case you have questions, do not hesitate to contact our consultants.
Public transport to Sierra Nevada
There are no direct buses from the airports to Sierra Nevada. In the first case, take one to Granada city center. It will cost you around 3 euros. Then, take a bus to the ski resort, which departs 3 times a day. The price of a trip is 5 euros. The whole journey will take around 2 hours.
We do not suggest you going by public transport from Malaga terminals, as you will need to make 3 changes. The trip will take around 5 hours and will cost you about 30 euros.
Check timetables beforehand in order to plan your journey. It might be better to take a taxi or a transfer in case you are traveling with children.
Interesting Information
If you are a bit tired of ski holidays, you can take a day off and go to the nearest cities. However, the resort also offers some places of interest. One of them is Fuente Alta, an ethnographic museum, where you can learn about locals and their life through ages.
