How to Get from Denia to the Nearest Airports and Other Destinations
This Spanish city is a prestigious sea resort in the country. Have no idea how to get from Denia to the cities of Alicante, Valencia, or Benidorm as well as Alicante Airport or Valencia Airport? You can use public transport, take a taxi, or book a private transfer.
Taxi from Denia
One can call a taxi in Denia 24/7 and even order it for a specific time.
There are also a few taxi ranks in the city: one of them can be found at Erzherzog Carl Square, and the other one – in Marques de Campo street. Besides, you can always ask an administrator of your hotel or a restaurant to call you a taxi in order to get from the resort to Benidorm or Oliva.
Almost all vehicles are equipped with taximeters. The average taxi tariff in the city is the following: the starting fare will be 3.5 euros, the trip to Alicante will cost around 110 euros, and to Valencia – 118 euros.
The cost of taxi travel depends on the time of day and day of the week. Thus, prices usually decrease on holidays and at weekends. Also, you’ll have to pay extra for traffic light downtime and the time spent on being stuck in a traffic jam.
Transfer from Denia
If you haven’t found the best way to get from the resort to the nearest airport yet, we advise you to book a Kiwitaxi transfer. Our drivers will do their best to take you to the airport on time and make you feel comfortable and safe during the trip. In order to book a transfer, just leave a request on our website by choosing the most suitable car class beforehand.
Our transfer will take you from Denia to Valencia Airport in just 1 hour and 20 minutes. The trip will cost from 148 euros for an Economy-class car to 456 euros for a minibus up to 19 passengers and 19 baggage units.
When booking a transfer to the airport, it is very important to calculate the pick-up time correctly. In order to do that, subtract three hours and the travel time to the airport (you can also find it on the Kiwitaxi website) from the departure time specified on your ticket.
You can get to Calp in about 50 minutes, and this trip will cost you from 93 to 308 euros depending on the chosen car class.
If you decide to travel with a child, take care of his/her safety and book a child seat in advance. You need to do that when filling in the booking form - just mark the appropriate field there.

If you’d like to save as much money on your travel as possible, you can use public transport. Thus, you can leave the resort by train or bus.
The distance between Denia and Alicante is 100 km. The train reaches the capital of the province in about 2.5-3 hours. During the trip, you will have enough time to enjoy the local landscapes, as the route runs right along the coast. The train ticket cost is 7-12 euros. The bus to Alicante runs every 20 minutes in summer and twice less often in winter. The bus ticket costs 12 euros, and you can buy it right from the driver. These buses are small, so you won’t find any room for baggage, prams, and bikes there. Also, they are not designed for passengers with reduced mobility.
One can get from the resort to Valencia only by bus. Buses run four times a day and reach Valencia bus station in 1 hour and 25 minutes. The bus ticket cost is around 12-20 euros, and tickets can be bought via the Internet in advance.
Denia: useful information
Denia is located on the northern Costa Blanca coast, and mainly wealthy Spanish and foreigners usually come here. Local beaches are recognized the best in Spain, and the resort itself — the most favorable for life.
Denia is a beautiful old city with narrow medieval streets. Here, one can visit an amazing natural park called Montgo, an old castle, a windmill, and the Ethnological Museum. And if you climb the mountain, you can examine the local caves there.
Tourists also come here for Fiesta which takes place every year and precedes the corrida season.
