How to Get from Benalmadena to Malaga Airport and Other Destinations
Benalmadena owes its development in the early 20th century to the booming mass coastal tourism. But with its rich history as a coastal trade town which has seen different civilizations and its proximity to other famous port city destinations such as Gibraltar, Marbella and others, the city saves its place in Costa del Sol. The closest airport to this resort town is Costa del Sol and it offers quite a number of international and domestic flights with its three terminals.
Public Transport from Benalmadena
The cheapest way to get around in Benalmadena is public transport. It is integrated into Malaga public transport so you can use the same tickets in both cities. The bus service is also very widespread. To get to Benalmadena, the best option is train service and it runs every 20 minutes below the Terminal 3. You travel across three zones and pay €2.05 for your 30-minute journey. But keep in mind that it does not run after midnight.
Taxi from Benalmadena
Cabs in Benalmadena are all metered and regulated. So you do not have to worry about drivers ripping you off. There are two rates for taxis: one for the daytime and for the night and special holidays. Normal taxi tariff charges you €0.58 per km in Benalmadena.
