How to Get to Rosa Khutor
Rosa Khutor is the largest Russian ski resort. It’s situated in Krasnaya Polyana, Adler District of the city of Sochi, and became famous after the 2014 Winter Olympics. Now, this place is visited by plenty of tourists not only in winter but also in summer and autumn. If you’re planning to see this amazing resort, you might be interested in how to reach it. Thus, you can use public transport, taxis, or private transfers to do that.
Taxi to Rosa Khutor
If you want to reach Rosa Khutor fast, you can take a taxi. To book a car at Sochi-Adler Airport (50 km), go to a special desk located in the arrivals area. During high season, it’s better to order a taxi well in advance, as there may be large queues for cabs and you may spend lots of time until an available car is found. The average price for a ride from the air hub to the resort is 1,500 RUB (€20). Be careful with private taxi drivers: they may increase fares a lot, and you may spend even 3,000 RUB (€40) traveling with them.
Transfer to Rosa Khutor
One of the most comfortable and reliable options to get to Rosa Khutor is using an individual transfer. With it, you can forget about any queues and waiting. The transfer driver will meet you inside the terminal right when you arrive, so you won’t have to wait even a minute. You’ll take a transfer trip in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle without any other passengers (note that local buses and trains are often cramped!). The price for a taxi transfer from Sochi-Adler air hub (Economy-class) is €25. If you’re a large company, a minibus can be ideal for you. Kiwitaxi transfer prices are fixed and don’t change after an order is made. You can pay for your transfer booking by card on the website.
Public Transport to Rosa Khutor
A more budget-friendly option is public transport. The fastest means is the Lastochka train. They will take you from the airport to Rosa Khutor in 45 minutes and for around 400 RUB (€5.5). However, there’s only one departure from the air hub a day (at 11:00). Also, you may use buses 135, 105, and 105с to get from the airport to the resort. They will get you to the destination in about 1 hour and 30 minutes and for 160 RUB (€2.1) on average.
To get to the resort from Adler railway station, you may use electric trains. The fare starts from 200 RUB (€2.6), and the trip takes about 50 minutes.
All these services won’t get you to your destination at night. Some of them stop operating even in the evening. To travel at these hours, it’s better to pre-order a taxi or a transfer.
Useful Information
The resort consists of three levels. On each of them, one may find a lot of interesting things to do.
