Customer feedback

I liked that the cabdriver offered Wi-Fi to me. It is very useful to get in touch with your family after arriving to Moscow if you haven’t got a Russian SIM card.
Service was excellent, driver was on time, courteous and very helpful in guiding/informing me about the city tourism, as well as ensuring I was safe & inside my hotel before departing. Certainly worth the money! very glad I decided to book with Kiwitaxi ahead of time. Will likely be using again for future travels, and would definitely recommend to others.
The flight was early but the driver was waiting. He spoke excellent English. He was driving safely and effectively. The car was exactly as ordered and in good shape, cleaner than most taxist. All in all a very enjoyable ride.

Transfers vs. Other Ways to Get from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport

Moscow International Airport Sheremetyevo is located approximately 30 km away from Central Administrative District of Moscow, in the north-west. This is one of four Moscow airports and the busiest in Russia. In Sheremetyevo there are four passenger terminals: “А”, “D”, “E”, “F” (former Sheremetyevo-2) and one cargo terminal. New terminal “B” is being built. The terminals are located in different places of the airport and require different travel time and transport to get there, so here is a short airport transport guide.

How to Get from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport to city center and the other way round

One can get to three Sheremetyevo Airport terminals (D, E, F) quite easily, but terminal A and terminal B (under construction) are located in the distance. Transport, departing from the airport:

  • buses (№№ 851, 817, Н1) and fixed-route taxis (№№ 948,949). The majority of routes runs from air terminal to metro stations “Rechnoy vokzal” and “Planernaya”, but there are some routes, running to “Leninsky Prospekt”;
  • Aeroexpress, departing from the station near Terminal E to Belorusskiy station (also known as Moscow Smolenskaya railway station);
  • taxi, taken on-site or booked via the app;
  • transfer, booked in advance online on Kiwitaxi site.

Besides, there is a bus route (N62) from Khimki station. Terminal D has its own park lots and stops, and Terminals E and F have a joint one.

Airport Transfer in Moscow Sheremetyevo vs. Taxi, booked via the app

Advantages of a private transfer

Child seats. Ordering a taxi with a child seat via the app is not that simple. Uber offers child seats only for children aged 3 and more, and Gett transports children only in comfort or higher class cars. Kiwitaxi will provide you a child seat or booster in any class car.

Minivan or minibus. Travelling in a big group? Taxi apps do not always have option to choose the car capacity, and Kiwitaxi has transport for up to 19 persons.

Disadvantage of a private transfer

8,5 euro more expensive. Taxi trip to Sheremetyevo from the Central Administrative District of Moscow or the other way round (metered) will cost you minimum 15,5 euro (with no fixed rate). Transfer cost makes 24 euro.

Transfer vs. Taxi from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport to the city, booked on site

Advantages of a private transfer

Polite driver meets you with a name sign and takes you straight to your hotel, avoiding annoying taxi drivers grabbing the tourists and shouting «Taxi!».

Be sure to travel with comfort. Choosing a taxi in Moscow Airport “Sheremetyevo” is always a matter of luck. It is impossible to determine by a driver’s appearance, if he smoked in the car, if his car is clean, or if he is a reckless driver. Kiwitaxi strictly selects its employees: drivers and cars should look neat and clean, and the speed limit is set by the client.

You know everything about your carrier. There are more than 700 official taxi services in Moscow, and dozens (if not hundreds) of thousands drivers work without license. If you catch a taxi on-site, you do not have any more time to check its feedback on the Internet. On the contrary, you can learn about Kiwitaxi company everything you need.

Moscow Airport Transfer vs. Aeroexpress

Advantages of a private transfer

You will get to the right terminal. Aeroexpress arrives at the first floor of Terminal E. If you need to the other one - you will have to walk.

You can leave the airport at night. Aeroexpress stops operating at 00:30.

Disadvantages of a private transfer

You can get stuck in a traffic jam, which is impossible with Aeroexpress.

4 times as expensive. Aeroexpress ticket for adult costs 6-6,5 euro, and the trip for a child under 5 is free (children aged 5–7 y.o. will travel for 2 euro). Transfer to Sheremetyevo costs 24 euro.

Transfer vs. Buses from Sheremetyevo Airport

Advantages of a private transfer

No confusion with terminals. Fixed-route taxis go directly to Terminal D, and buses make a circle around the airport and first arrive at Terminal B. To avoid confusion, order a transfer and it will bring you to the right exit.

Ride without unnecessary stops. Buses, especially routes 851, go from the airport with many stops.

Avoid traffic jams. Buses go on the regular routes, and Kiwitaxi drivers can check the traffic situation in 2advance and drive you a different way to avoid traffic jams.

With comfort. In a fixed-route taxi your will travel with your suitcases placed in an aisle and your hand luggage - in your hands.

Disadvantage of a private transfer

Much more expensive. A bus fare for one passenger starts from 0,80 euro from Moscow (and 0,50 euro from Khimki).
