Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport: Transfers and Taxi
Transfers from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport
Transfers from Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO) are the fastest and most hassle-free way to get to Moscow and the Golden Ring of Russia — a popular tourist route comprising several ancient towns: Sergiev Posad, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Suzdal, Vladimir, etc.
Transfers allow you to:
Reach your destination faster. You don’t need to wander around the airport looking for a public transport stop. The driver meets you in the appointed place strictly on time.
Avoid exchanging money. Using local transport, you need to pay in rubles. If you book a transfer, you can prepay for it online in your currency.
Not worry about language problems. The driver gets all the necessary information in advance, and no other details are needed from you on-site.
Transfers can also save you lots of stress if you travel with children or arrive at night.
There’s 35 km from the airport to Moscow city center. The transfer will take you there in 1 hour and for 23€.
Taxi from Sheremetyevo Airport
The official service at Sheremetyevo is Yandex.Taxi. Its counters can be found in the Arrivals of all terminals. Also, you can call a taxi by phone. These cabs are metered. The average fare from Sheremetyevo to the downtown is 1,250 rubles or 15.6€.
Note that oversized baggage and child seats are charged extra. Also, fares are higher at night. When traveling with a group, it may be very problematic to find a big cab on-site. With Kiwitaxi, you can avoid this problem — we offer several minibuses with different capacities.
Public Transport from Moscow Sheremetyevo
You can use public transport to get to Moscow:
Buses/fixed-route taxis. They run to Belomorskaya, Rechnoi Vokzal, and Planernaya metro stations. The night bus H1 runs to Kitay-gorod and Voykovskaya stations. The fare is 40-100₽. The travel time is 35-90 mins. The stops are near Terminals B, D, F.
Aeroexpress. It runs to Belorussky railway station from the special terminal. The ride takes 50 mins and costs 450-500₽. It doesn’t run after 23:15.
The average waiting time is 30-50 mins. Also, note that fixed-route taxis are cramped.
Booking a transfer from Sheremetyevo
You need to make your order at least 24 hours before the ride. But even if you contact us later, we’ll try to find an available car for you.
