How to Get from Adler Airport to Other Destinations
This air terminal (AER) is located 5 km from Adler center. Handling around six million passengers annually, it’s the fifth busiest Russian air hub (after the airports of Moscow and Saint Petersburg). Tourists have several options to get from here to their destination: these are public transportation, private transfers, and taxi cabs.
Taxi from Adler Airport
It’s not a problem to find a taxi here as there are usually plenty of both official and private cabs waiting near the terminal. However, we don’t recommend you to use the latter as such drivers may offer you a much higher price. Also, you can book a taxi at a special desk at the airport (in the baggage claim area on the first floor of the building). You’ll need to spend some time in a line and then wait for your car for 15 to 30 minutes. The average taxi fares are the following: to Adler - RUB 500 (≈ EUR 7), to Sochi city center - RUB 1000 (≈ EUR 14), and to Krasnaya Polyana - RUB 1500 (≈ EUR 20.5). Note that not all airport taxi drivers will be ready to place your large ski or snowboard equipment in their cars, so if you’re going to take them, it’s better to pre-book a suitable vehicle in advance.
Transfer from Adler Airport
Booking an individual Kiwitaxi transfer might be a good option in case you have large baggage and wish to arrange your trip well in advance. We offer spacious minivans and minibuses of different capacities. However, you may also book a standard Economy-class transfer which costs EUR 12 to Adler and EUR 18 to Sochi. A variety of other destinations are available, as well. A transfer reservation can be easily made on our website in a few clicks. At the appointed time, you will be met by our professional transfer driver in the arrivals area. In case you need to go back to Adler Airport after your vacation, you may also order a return transfer.
Public Transportation from Adler Airport
The fastest way to get to Adler from the airport is by electric train Lastochka (the fare is RUB 70 or ≈ EUR 1). Getting to Sochi costs RUB 167 (≈ EUR 2.3). Also, it makes stops in Khosta and Matsesta.
Another option is buses. Bus travel to Sochi center costs RUB 70 (≈ EUR 1), to Krasnaya Polyana - RUB 116 (≈ EUR 1.6), to Rosa Khutor - RUB 155 (≈ EUR 2.1), and to Esto Sadok - RUB 132 (≈ EUR 1.8).
At night, the only option to leave the air hub is by pre-booked transfer or taxi.
This air hub is rather modern and is convenient for people with disabilities due to its escalators and elevators.
