How to Get from Ericeira to Other Destinations
Ericeira is a small resort town situated in the west of Portugal, along the Atlantic coastline. This resort is known to be a great place for surfing, and it was even declared a World Surfing Reserve in 2011. If you need to reach or leave this charming town, you may do this by public transport, taxis, or private transfers.
Taxi from Ericeira
If you need a taxi to leave Ericeira, you can book it through a tourist office or at your hotel reception. There are a few cab services in the town, and you can also call one of them yourself. Besides, you may take a taxi from a rank (for instance, on Rua Prudêncio Franco da Trindade, near the post office). Getting to Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport will cost 65 euros on average. At night hours and on holidays, taxi tariffs are higher.
Transfer from Ericeira
Booking a private transfer will be the best idea in case you have lots of baggage, are traveling with your small children, or just want to reach your desired destination as fast as possible. You arrange your trip well in advance and thus free yourself from lots of stress. You book your transfer online in just a few clicks, and at a specified time, your driver picks you up in the appointed place. A vehicle you are traveling in is comfortable and air-conditioned. The cost of an Economy-class taxi transfer from Ericeira to the Portuguese capital or its airport is 96 euros. Getting to Porto in the same class car costs 347 euros. If you have any questions about private transfers, do not hesitate to ask them on the Kiwitaxi website.
Public Transport from Ericeira
There is no rail connection between Ericeira and Lisbon. So one can reach the Portuguese capital only by buses (operated by Mafrense). These services will take you from the town bus station (which can be found in the center of the resort) to Campo Grande bus station in Lisbon in about an hour. A ticket will cost around 6 euros. As it is purchased from the driver, it will not be possible to reserve seats.
Please bear in mind that these services do not run at night hours. For night trips, it would be best to order a taxi or a transfer in advance.
