The trip went well. Lovely, clean spacious vehicle. Our driver kindly held an umbrella for us as it was raining. There was heavy traffic and I think he took a detour to avoid it. Made it to the airport in plenty of time

Cascais Airport is situated in neighboring Lisbon, at a distance of 36 kilometers. Transfers from Lisbon help you get not only to Cascais but also to Sintra, Estoril, Porto, Coast de Caparica, and other Portugal cities.
There are 3 reasons to choose a transfer:
Payment online. You will not bother with currency exchange upon arrival.

There is 35 kilometers between the airport and Cascais. A transfer will take you to your destination in 30 minutes. The cost of the trip is 40 euros.
Taxi from Cascais Airport
The cars are beige or black with green tops. Taxi drivers are all registered. Some of them can speak broken English. Fares are calculated according to taxi meters. The trip will cost on average 0,50 euro per km. At night the price increases by 20%. Minimum fare is 3,25 euro. You should pay about 15 euro per hour for waiting and 1,60 euro for all your luggage, not only for one piece.

A taxi from the airport to Cascais costs approximately 40–45 euro.
Keep in mind that it will be a problem to find a car with two or more child seats at the airport. For a family trip, it’s convenient to book a transfer in advance.

Then, you take a train to Cascais for 2,50 euro. The city is connected to the capital by the Linha de Cascais urban railway. It takes 40 minutes to reach it. You can’t pre-book a ticket. Here is the schedule.

How do I book a transfer in Cascais?
