Tivat Airport: Transfers and Taxi
There are several ways to get from Tivat to Budva, as well as Podgorica and Dubrovnik airports: by taxi, private or shared transfer, plane, or bus.
Taxi from Tivat
If you don’t know how to get to or from Tivat, you can take a taxi. It is a good option for those tourists who are bad at orienting in unfamiliar places. Just call one of taxi companies or use a special app. Don’t forget to buy a local SIM-card before that – this will make calls much cheaper.
The journey cost will be calculated according to the amount of baggage, the time of day and the distance to the destination.
Transfer from Tivat
If you are going to travel from Tivat to Budva, Podgorica, or Dubrovnik airports, think about a private transfer. It will provide you with the highest comfort level possible. Besides, you will learn the final trip cost on the website in advance. It depends on the car class you choose and the distance to the desired town or airport.
Getting to Dubrovnik Airport will take 1 hour and 35 minutes. The professional Kiwitaxi driver will be waiting for you at the specified address, help you carry your baggage to the car and put it in the trunk.
When making an order on the website, you choose the date, time and pick-up place where you need to be met. Booking a transfer in advance, you are sure that a car will be waiting for you at the specified time without delays. Another advantage of this travel option is paying online.
In comparison to usual taxi, private transfers have a number of benefits. First, a car arrives at the time specified by you, so you don’t have to waste your time on waiting. Second, it is equipped with that quantity of passenger seats that you indicated in your order. In case you are travelling with children, don’t forget to add a child seat or booster to your booking.
The only drawback of transfers is that they are on average 10-20% more expensive than usual taxis. However, the comfortable booking process and the reliable trip justify the price.
We hire competent and experienced drivers only, and the age of cars doesn’t exceed 7 years.
Public transport from Tivat
To get from Tivat to Podgorica International Airport, you can also take a bus or a plane. The distance between these two points is 87.4 km, the bus travel time is about two hours. The bus from Tivat departs every 10–15 minutes, and its fare is around 5.9 euros.
Getting from Tivat to Podgorica Airport by plane takes 6 hours. But you will have to make a change in Belgrade, and the ticket cost starts from 117.9 euros. Flights depart one or two times per day.
Of course, taking a bus is cheaper than booking a private transfer, but this is the only advantage of this type of transport. Public transport is not so comfortable as taxis and transfers. You’ll have to wait for a bus at the stop even in the worst weather, and besides, it can be crowded or its tickets can be sold out. Planes are a good option, but their ticket cost is rather high, so not everyone can afford a flight.
