Transfer in Lebanon
Lebanon is the most westernized Arab country: there is approximately the same number of Christians and Muslims here. In the capital of the country, Beirut, local women wear bikinis to beaches, and in the evenings, they go to night clubs. In Lebanon, one can find a wide range of historic monuments. First of all, it is the ancient city of Byblos whose history dates back to more than 7000 years ago and which is under the protection of UNESCO. In Baalbek, you will see one the wonders of the world — the Temple of Jupiter. This gorgeous construction consists of stone blocks weighing around 1000 tons each, and it is still unknown how it was erected in ancient times. Also, don’t forget to visit the national nature reserve of Al Shouf. The Lebanon Cedar — the main pride of the country — grows here. It is represented even on its flag. Some trees in the park are about 2000 years old.
Taxis in Lebanon are widespread in the cities. In rural areas, finding a car is more difficult. You can order a vehicle by phone or using a mobile app, as well as catch it on the street. Such cars have red license plates. When you get into one, you should define at once whether you use a vehicle as a usual taxi or as a service. In the latter case, the driver will take other passengers on the way. Besides, in Arab countries, they place two passengers in the front seat. Some drivers will tell you that a service is not for tourists — don’t believe that. Meters are barely used in this country, so negotiate the trip cost in advance. Try to decrease the initial cost at least by 25%. Tips are not obligatory but are welcome. Drivers accept dollars. More than a half of all taxi drivers in Lebanon have no license. However, the official airport service is certified. You can distinguish such cars by drivers wearing a uniform. The fare for official taxis is fixed and reasonable. If you look for a cheaper transport option in Lebanon, you may use local buses.
In case you hate bargaining and want to be sure about your safety during the trip, book a Kiwitaxi transfer. All our drivers are licensed and experienced. All prices for transfers in Lebanon can be found on the website. They won’t change after booking. The trip cost doesn’t depend on the changes in the exchange rate, traffic jams on the roads, or short stops on the way. You can pay for a transfer online using your bank card — in dollars or euros. The payment can be made fully or partially. The rest of the amount needs to be given to the driver in cash after the trip — in the currency specified in your voucher. A car can be ordered for any time and to any place. If you book a transfer to the airport, our driver will meet you at the terminal entrance. He/she will be holding a sign with your name on it.
