Rome airport to Positano: Transfers and Taxi
Taxi from Rome to Positano
The small town of Positano is the pearl of the Amalfi Coast. Its multiple colorful houses and green lemon and olive trees charm visitors from all around the globe.
Pre-arranging a tourist transfer is the most convenient and hassle-free way to reach this town from Rome airports — Fiumicino and Ciampino. Here is why:
A faster trip. You won’t have to spend your time looking for public transport stops at the air hub or waiting for a cab to arrive. The transfer driver will already be standing in the Arrivals when you land. And there will be no changes and unnecessary stops on the way to your destination.
No language barrier. We send all the journey details to the driver well in advance, so don’t worry about that — you won’t have to explain anything in another language or using gestures.
The opportunity to choose the car that suits you best. For instance, if you have plenty of large suitcases, you can reserve a spacious minivan.
Private transfers are also perfect when traveling with children: a comfortable air-conditioned car can make a ride less stressful for your child. Also, we offer child car seats — please don’t forget to book one when making an order.
The Kiwitaxi transfer to Positano from Fiumicino Airport costs from 479 euros and takes around 3 hours, and from Ciampino Airport — from 420 euros and around 2.5 hours.
Taxi from Rome to Positano
The taxi service at both airports is available 24 hours a day. Licensed cabs can be distinguished by white color, a taxi sign on top, and a licence number on their doors and back. Taxis at Fiumicino can be booked in the arrivals area of T1 and T3. At Ciampino, the service is also available within the arrivals terminal. You can also reserve a car by phone.
Fares for rides outside the city limits are calculated according to the taximeter. The average fare to the town of Positano is 450 euros.
If you take a private taxi at the air hub ranks, be careful — these drivers often overcharge travelers. Ask the driver to turn the taximeter on and watch it attentively. If you don’t want to worry about being ripped off and want to have a relaxed trip, pre-book a private Kiwitaxi transfer. We offer fixed rates, which don’t change after your order is made. Also, choose a transfer if you’re traveling with a group, as finding a large-sized taxi at the air hubs may be quite difficult. Our minibuses can accommodate up to 19 passengers.
