Bergamo Airport to Desenzano Del Garda: Transfers and Taxi
Transfers from Bergamo Airport (Caravaggio) to Desenzano Del Garda
The resort town resting on the southern shore of the Lake Garda welcomes visitors in their thousands every year looking to enjoy the warm weather and the rare sight of antiquated artifacts.
To get there, most are smart enough to take advantage of the meet and greet facility and convenience of transfer services like Kiwitaxi. You just need to use our website to choose the car to convey you from the Caravaggio air hub to your doorstep in the famous resort town within 50 minutes. For as low as 111 Euros, a professional driver will wait for you at the air hub terminal for up to one hour before you even get off the plane.
The cars providing transfer services are always disinfected after each use.
Taxis from Bergamo Airport to Desenzano Del Garda
Taking a cab is still very much an option, although a less reasonable one for a few reasons. Despite costing just as much as private transfer services (120-150 euro), cabs delay a lot more, since you’d have to wait in queue till it’s your turn to leave.
There are no Ubers, so you might not even know how much you’re going to be asked to pay – the cabs use meters to decide cost, and some travel in circles and stick to traffic-jammed routes just to increase the fare. The journey should not take more than 63 minutes, even in the slowest cabs.
Public transport provides a cheaper option compared to taxis, although you’ll have to first take a bus from the Caravaggio to the local train station (Stazione) that is about 20 minutes away. The air-hub bus line costs 3 Euros including the cost of excess luggage. When you get to the Stazione, book a train ticket that will transport you to the resort town in 90 - 105 minutes at a ticket price of 8 Euros.
Otherwise, pay 11 Euros for a bus that will take you Brescia from the air hub (the bus tickets are sold by automated ticket machines in the hub. From Brescia, board one of the ‘Regionale’ trains that carry passengers to the resort town. For this route, the quickest and most expensive train to ride is the Frecciabianca train.
About the Route
There’s a distance of 49 miles between Bergamo Airport and the resort town, so it might be smart to take advantage of the extras that Kiwitaxi transfer service offers like reserving drinking water and child seats to get more convenience.
