How to get from Sorrento to the Nearest Airports and Other Destinations
Sorrento is the Italian city, located in the region of Campania. You can get from here to Salerno and Naples, Salerno railway station, and Naples International Airport using public transportation, taxi or transfer service.
Taxi from Sorrento
There are three ways of getting a cab in Sorrento.

You can simply ask the administrator at the hotel or restaurant to book a taxi for you. However, the fare will be higher in this case, as many hotels have an arrangement with certain taxi companies, and they get a cut of each order.
You can also find a cab in a special parking lot. Such a trip will cost you almost twice as much as when you pre-order a taxi in Sorrento.
The distance from the city to Naples is about 50 km, and not all drivers agree to overcome it. The fact is that fixed fares for intercity transportation are practically the same as the cost of traveling within a city. But it is unprofitable for private taxi drivers.
Transfer from Sorrento

Public transport from Sorrento
Not sure how to get from Sorrento to the airport or to neighboring cities without spending a significant amount of money? You can use public transport.
There are three ways to get from the city to Naples.
Direct buses of the Sita Sud company run between cities along the coast every 4 hours and arrive at Ferraris Stazione Vesuvian Naples station. This is the cheapest and the most popular way of traveling between cities. The travel time of this bus is 1 hour and 15 minutes, the ticket price is 10 euro.
You can also get to Naples on the ferry. It leaves every 4 hours and reaches its destination in 40 minutes. The ticket price is 5-20 euro. The third way to get to Naples is the metro. Trains run every 30 minutes and reach Naples in 1 hour 7 minutes. The ticket price for them is 2-4 euro; you can find the traffic schedule on the official website.
Salerno can be reached only by bus, and you will have to change buses in the city of Amalfi, in this case, you will have an opportunity to see some picturesque places like the village of Positano. The bus to Amalfi leaves every 20 minutes, tickets cost 5-8 euro. Then, there is a direct bus from the town to Salerno, it costs 3 euro. In total, this trip takes about 3 hours and 26 minutes.
Sorrento: useful information
Sorrento is an amazingly beautiful city with clean air and beautiful beaches. Unlike other popular Italian resorts, it is not so crowded.
