Very good driver! But I'm very sorry about my mistake to wait outside the hotel while the driver is waiting in the hotel lobby and the trip begins with a 18-minute-delay. It was my mistake. And I'm sorry to have only 7 schekel in my pocket for the driver's tip. Michael Steigerwald
In case of Corona the Taxi Service was running without any complications. The driver was very friendly and kind. Drove very smooth. And the price was incredible. Thank you for your help in this strange time with Corona to helped us come home as soon as possible. Sarah F.
The driver was there on time, even at bit earlier, he was very courteous, and he arrived in Dubai well ahead of time whilst always driving carefully and observing the speed limit. The car was spacious and clean. So, all in all it was a very positive experience. D. Fuehrer
The driver was on time. He was easy to find. He was very helpful with the bags both at pickup and the destination. He knew where he was going and the vehicle was more than adequate for 4 people. What more could we ask for, very pleasant experience overall. Diane Sandrejko
The driver was waiting for us with a sign as out train arrived. His car was clean and comfortable. He drove safely and knew the route. Very happy with the service. Thank you. Brenden Hutchings

The driver arrived at my hotel just slightly before the pick-up time that had been arranged. He helped me with my luggage, has good driving skills and was courteous. I am very pleased with the service. Edward Clarke
Excellent service provided. Driver arrived for pick up on time and helped with the loading and unloading of our luggage on arrival at the airport. Very comfortable car with plenty of room for 3 passengers and suitcases. Driver was very polite and courteous. Would highly recommend. Michael Baker

Jerusalem Airport: Transfers and Taxi

Transfers from Jerusalem Airport

There is no airport in Jerusalem. The nearest one is in Tel Aviv, at a distance of 50 kilometers. Transfers from Tel Aviv can take you to ancient Jerusalem, to the port of Haifa, to the Mediterranean resort of Netanya, to the Ein Bokek resort on the Dead Sea, and to the Eilat resort on the Red Sea.

By transfer, you will leave without any delay:

  • even during Shabbat. But trains and buses do not run from Friday noon to Saturday evening.

  • directly. You can’t get directly to Jerusalem by train or bus.

  • as soon as you are ready. in the case of a taxi, you must first place an order through the dispatcher, and the minibus taxi departs only when it is full.

It is convenient to travel with children by transfer. At the stage of booking, you can order the right amount of child seats and even an infant seat.

Taxi from Jerusalem Airport

Taxi in Israel is expensive. Since January 2020, the government has lowered tariffs, but prices are still quite high. You can take only one bag with you for free in an Israeli taxi. For each extra suitcase, you will have to pay about a dollar.

In addition, the basic cost of a taxi increases significantly during the Sabbath. So, for example, an official taxi from the airport to Jerusalem will cost $79. During Shabbat, the cost increases to $94. You can order a taxi through the dispatcher. In Terminal 3, you will find it at level G, at exit 3, and in Terminal 1 — at exit 3.

As for online apps, Gett, Yango, and Uber operate here with mixed success.

If you arrive with a big company or you have non-standard luggage with you, for example, a baby carriage or a wheelchair, you will have a hard time finding a suitable car. There are no such problems with a transfer. You can order a minibus for 6–19 people. Luggage space is provided for each passenger.

Public Transport from Jerusalem Airport

The transfer is not the only way to leave Jerusalem Airport. Long-distance transport in Israel is quite well developed. You can leave the airport by:

  • train. You can get to Tel Aviv and Haifa directly, to Jerusalem and Ein Bokek - only with a change.

  • minibus taxi Nesher. It departs only when it is full. Besides, you won’t be able to fit in a minibus with bulky luggage.

  • bus. From the new bus station in Tel Aviv, you can travel to any city in Israel. But first, you need to get to it by train or bus.

And remember about the Shabbat. It lasts from 3 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday. Public transport does not go at this time.

Booking an Airport Transfer from Jerusalem Airport

You can book a transfer on the English-language website. Before booking, decide:

  • how many passengers and luggage pieces you will take with you. It is important when choosing a transfer class

  • if you will have non-standard luggage with you, for example, a pram

  • if children are going with you

When booking a transfer, you can also book a bottle of water. In hot Israel, it will be quite handy after the flight.

You can also pay for a transfer on the site by credit card. After that, you will receive a booking confirmation per email.

The minimum period to book a car is 24 hours before the trip. But if you have less time left, leave a request anyway. We will do our best to find a free car.

The transfer costs significantly more than all other ways to get to Jerusalem. But you will save the most valuable thing - time. Ben Gurion Airport is notorious for its scrupulous security search, so you can lose 2-3 hours at border control. After this, you usually want to quickly get to your hotel and relax.

The driver will meet you at the appointed time in the arrivals area and help with your luggage. And no wandering around the airport looking for a taxi stand.

All tourist-friendly places of the airport, including the railway station, are located in Terminal 3:

Out of four Jerusalem Airport terminals, only Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are in operation. Free shuttles run between them. The interval between shuttles is 10–20 minutes.

There is almost nowhere to eat in Terminal 1. There are very few cafes and restaurants there.

The business lounge at Jerusalem Airport is called DAN. Just like the hotel chain that owns the room. Many tourists mention a very poor buffet there: no hot dishes, small portions, bad beer. It is advised to use the lounge only for free,e.g. on special.
