How to Get from Herzliya to Other Destinations
Herzliya is a prestigious resort city on the Mediterranean coast. Located 12 km to the north of Tel Aviv, it is the second largest financial center of the country. The city consists of a resort area and a wealthy district (Herzliya Pituach). In order to get from this fascinating place to other destinations, tourists choose taxis, transfers, or different types of public transport.
Taxi from Herzliya
There is no lack of taxis in Herzliya. You may reserve a car by phone or online or hail one on the street. Also, you may ask your hotel desk or your apartments’ owner to call a taxi for you. It is better to have cash with you, as not all drivers take credit cards. Taxis operate on Shabbat. On holidays and at night, they are available, as well, but be ready that tariffs will be higher. On average, a taxi from Herzliya to Ben Gurion Airport costs $70.
Transfer from Herzliya
The most relaxed and stress-free travel option is a private transfer. You can reserve it on the Kiwitaxi website in a few clicks and pay for your booking with your credit card. A transfer from Herzliya to Tel Aviv for 4 people costs $54, and to Ben Gurion air hub - $78. You have a few vehicle classes to choose from. Pre-booking a transfer helps you save lots of time: you don’t need to look and wait for transport on the spot, as our driver meets you strictly at the appointed time.
If you need to go back to Herzliya in a while, you may also book a return transfer.
Public Transport from Herzliya
The fastest option to get to Tel Aviv is by train. It will take you to HaHagana train station in about 15 minutes. A single ride costs 8.50 NIS (around $2.4).
Also, you may reach this destination by bus. The service N90 will take you to Yafo bus station in about 25 minutes (travel time depends on traffic). You may choose the day pass fare and pay 21.50 NIS (around $6). On Shabbat, this route is served by minibuses (sheruts). Normal buses can also take you to other cities (Jerusalem, Haifa, Eilat, etc.).
If you are planning to take a trip at night, check all timetables beforehand, as some of these services don’t usually operate at this time of day. Or you may solve this problem in advance by pre-ordering a transfer or a taxi.
