How do I find and book a transfer from/to Thessaloniki airport «Macedonia» (SKG)?

How do I know if my booking has gone through?

After you make your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a voucher containing your booking number and all the details of your journey.

What should I do if my flight is delayed?

As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number sent to you before, Kiwitaxi support manager via email support@kiwitaxi.com or in online chat.

Provide the order number and the new arrival time.

How can I find my driver?

Important note: the driver will meet you with the sign showing your first and last names, which you specified during the booking.

If a pick-up place is an airport, the driver will meet you at the exit of arrivals area of the airport after you passed passport control and claimed baggage.

If a pick-up place is a hotel, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby.

Transfers vs. Other Ways to Get from Thessaloniki Macedonia Airport

Macedonia Airport receives up to 4 million tourists annually. It is only 15 km from Thessaloniki, so the traffic between the city and the air hub is very busy. Many people arriving at Macedonia are heading not only to Thessaloniki, but also to Chalkidiki (Halkidiki) resorts — the peninsula in the northeast of Greece. It makes sense to study the route in advance before such a journey.

How to get from Thessaloniki Airport to the city center or the other way round

At Macedonia Airport there is no intercity transport. So, if you are planning to travel to Ouranoupoli, Nea Moudania, Sani resort, and other cities, you will have to change in the city of Thessaloniki. At the airport you can take:

  • a bus № 78 or № 78N (night), which will bring you to Macedonia bus station. The interval between buses is 15–20 minutes during the day, and 30 minutes at night. On Sundays and holidays you will have to wait for transport 10-15 minutes longer;
  • taxi, which can be taken on the spot (services «Omega», «Macedonia», «EuroTaxi» etc.);
  • taxi service at Thessaloniki Airport, ordered via the local app (Taxi 18300). Uber does not operate in the city;
  • transfer, booked online in advance.

Intercity buses depart from Macedonia Intercity Bus Station (KTEL Halkidiki stop).
