How do I find and book a transfer?

Specify the place of departure in the "From" field, and your destination - in the "To" field. You can choose the desired city, airport, train station, port, and hotel from the drop-down menu or enter the exact address of the place.

Click the button "View prices". Choose the suitable transfer class and click "Book" to proceed to the booking.

How far in advance should I book a transfer?

Minimum time of pre-order depends on the vehicle class.

If you want to book vehicles of Premium class or Minibus 10, 13, 16, 19 pax, you can make a booking not less than 24 hours before the trip.

If you choose standard types of vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax), transfer must be booked not less than 16 hours before its beginning.

If your trip starts later than the time given above, you can make an urgent booking. It will take some time for us to find a car. We will inform you as soon as possible if we can provide the service.

How do I know if my booking has gone through?

After you make your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a voucher containing your booking number and all the details of your journey.

If you have not received the email with the confirmation, please contact our manager by email at support@kiwitaxi.com or in online chat.

What should I do if my flight is delayed?

As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number sent to you before, Kiwitaxi support manager via email support@kiwitaxi.com or in online chat.

Provide the order number and the new arrival time.

How can I find my driver?

Important note: the driver will meet you with the sign showing your first and last names, which you specified during the booking.

If a pick-up place is an airport, the driver will meet you at the exit of arrivals area of the airport after you passed passport control and claimed baggage.

If a pick-up place is a hotel, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby.

Meet-up instructions are given in the voucher confirming your booking.

Athens Airport: Transfers and Taxi

Athens, the capital of Greece, is an ancient city with a great history. This place attracts people from all around the globe with a huge variety of tourist spots. In order to reach or leave this city, they use public transport, a transfer, or a taxi service.

Taxi from Athens

A taxi in Athens can be ordered via phone or the Internet, picked up at ranks, or hailed on the street. Legal cabs are yellow and have illuminated TAXI signs on top. The green color of the sign means this car is available for hire, and the red color of it means it’s already waiting for a passenger. The trip from the city to the airport costs €38 at daytime and €54 at night. Keep in mind that not all taxi drivers speak English. Besides, some of them may not accept credit cards, so it is better to have some cash with you.

Transfer from Athens

If you don’t want to spend your time looking for a cab or waiting for public transportation, ordering a transfer with the Kiwitaxi company will be the best option.

You make a booking online, and once you do it, the rate stays fixed. So a transfer for 4 passengers from Athens to the air hub will cost €35. A group of people can take a minivan or a minibus.

Transfers to other popular locations (for instance, Piraeus Port) are also available.

Public transport from Athens

In order to reach the air hub from the center, take Metro Line 3. A one-way ticket costs €10 and needs to be validated before boarding (otherwise you will be fined). Also, you can take the suburban electric train whose fare is €10, as well. But don’t forget that these two options are not available at night.

Another way to reach the airport is by express bus (X93, X95, X96, X97). In this case, you will pay €6 for a single ticket. These buses operate at night, however, they run at large intervals.

From the center, you can also reach Piraeus Port. To do that, take Metro Line 1 or the buses №49 or №40. The price for this trip will be €1.4.

Useful Information

Lots of palaces, places of worship for ancient Greek gods, old ruins, and galleries can be found in Athens. The most significant sight here is the Acropolis which consists of several temples. Other places of interest include the Acropolis Museum, Syntagma Square with the Parliament House, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Ancient Agora, etc. The city also has plenty of taverns, bars, and coffee houses where tourists stay up late after long walks around the city and its suburbs.
