How to Get to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (also Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc or simply St Gervais) is a beautiful ski resort situated in the region of Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes in south-eastern France. This amazing village is set at the foot of the Mont Blanc mountain at an altitude of around 900 m above sea level. If you’re looking for an option to reach the resort, you may choose from public transport, taxis, and individual transfers.
Taxi to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
If you want to take a taxi to get to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, you may order one through special websites (there are lots of cab services providing trips to the resort). If you’re heading to the village from Geneva Airport (70 km), you may book a car at the rank outside the terminal or via a special desk inside it. Also, you can order a taxi by calling one of the official airport cab services. The average price for travel from the air hub to the village is €200. Note that you might experience some language problems as not all Swiss taxi drivers speak the English language.
Transfer to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
Using a private taxi transfer is a convenient way to get to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. Whether you have large ski equipment or just don’t want to deal with an unfamiliar language, this option will be ideal for you. Public Transport to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
Using bus services is one of the cheapest options to reach Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. Thus, to get to the resort from Geneva air hub, you may use Altibus buses. They run 2-3 times a day and reach the village (Le Fayet station) in 1 hour and 45 minutes. A one-way adult fare is €14.
Also, you may use Ouibus services. In this case, travel to the resort will cost €19 to €25 and will take 1 hour and 10 minutes to 1 hour and 35 minutes depending on the arrival station (Le Fayet or Le Pont). If you’re traveling to Le Pont, be ready for one change. There are 2 to 6 trips a day.
Late in the evening and at night, you may use only taxi cabs and private transfers. Public transport isn’t available at this time.
