How to Get from Larnaca Airport to Limassol

Thousands of travelers flying to the busiest air hub in Cyprus - Larnaca Airport - wonder how to reach Limassol, one of the most popular resorts of the island. This large financial, cultural and tourist center is located in the southern part of Cyprus, around 70 km from the airport. Public transport, taxis, and individual transfers are the options you may use in order to get there.

One can see taxis when exiting the arrivals area (they’re waiting on the right). Also, you can call a cab at the special desk inside it. Licensed taxis have chequered signs on top. All cars are equipped with taximeters and work according to the common tariff (set by the Department of Road Transport). Taxi fares increase after 20:30. The average cost of the trip from Larnaca Airport to Limassol center at daytime is €55, and at night - €64. In case the weight of your baggage is more than 12 kg, you may be charged extra.

Public Transport from Larnaca Airport to Limassol

There are two ways to reach Limassol from Larnaca Airport by public transportation. The first one is using the direct Limassol Airport Express bus. It’s a comfortable shuttle running daily (it runs at night, as well). An adult ticket costs €9, and a child one - €4 (for children under 12). 

The second option will require a change in Larnaca. First, take the bus to the city (for instance, N425 or N419). The fare is €1.5. In Larnaca, change to the Intercity Bus to Limassol (€4). This option is cheaper, but these services don’t run 24/7.

Also, bear in mind that using any of these options will take you quite a long time (you may spend 1 to 3 hours waiting). If you want to get from Larnaca Airport to Limassol as fast as possible, choose a transfer or a taxi.

Useful Information

When in Limassol, don’t forget to visit its suburbs. The ruins of antique cities and the amazing museums rarely leave anyone indifferent.
