How to Get from Larnaca Airport to Larnaca
Larnaca International Airport is the main gateway to the island of Cyprus. Located about 6 km from the city, it serves over 5 million passengers a year. In order to reach Larnaca from the airport, travelers may use one of these three transport options: city buses, taxis, and private transfers.
Taxi from Larnaca Airport to Larnaca
Taxis at the airport are waiting right at the exit of the arrivals zone. Cabs are rather plentiful near the air hub. Besides, you may find taxi desks inside the arrivals area (Level 0). These cars are white or black having standard chequered signs on their roofs. They have taximeters inside, and, according to Cyprus law, taxi drivers must turn them on when picking up passengers. So when getting into a cab, make sure your driver did this. On average, the taxi ride from the airport to Larnaca city center costs €15. Such services are available round the clock.
Transfer from Larnaca Airport to Larnaca
If you’re one of those travelers who prefer saving time and planning everything in advance, a private transfer service is exactly what you need. With a door-to-door service, you will reach your destination as fast as possible. You won’t have to look for a car at the airport as your transfer driver will be there at the moment your flight arrives. You will get to your accommodation quickly without making any stops on the way. Traveling from the airport to the city of Larnaca using an Economy-class transfer will cost €24. After your reservation is made, the price remains fixed and never changes. You can pay for your transfer online via your credit card or pay for it to the driver later in cash.
Public Transport from Larnaca Airport to Larnaca
There are several bus lines connecting the airport with the city of Larnaca. These are Lines 417, 419, 425, and 429. In order to find the stop, leave the terminal through the central exit and turn left. The ride to the city center takes around 15 minutes and costs €1.5. You may purchase a ticket from the driver when boarding (but only with cash).
Please keep in mind that these buses won’t get you from the airport to the city at night. In case your flight arrives at night hours, pre-arrange a transfer or take a taxi.
