How to Get from Phnom Penh City to the Airport and Other Destinations
Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, is popular for its temples, museums, restaurants, and vibrant nightlife. The facilities are developing, therefore, the city attracts more and more visitors. The nearest air hub is situated about 5 km from the city center and tourists usually wonder how to get there.
Taxi from Phnom Penh
A trip from the city center to Phnom Penh air hub will take around 45 minutes. However, be sure that you have enough time as traffic jams are unavoidable, especially in the evening. A taxi price depends on a distance, and a taxi trip may cost you around 15 dollars. Taxis in Phnom Penh do not have enough space for a lot of luggage. Moreover, there is no opportunity to pay by card in a taxi.

Public transport from Phnom Penh
In case you are a budget traveler, you would prefer to go to Phnom Penh Airport by bus instead of a taxi or transfer. Line 03 is the one you need. It makes about 20 stops through the city. The first one is the Night Market, however, you might prefer the Central Market station.
The bus runs every 15 minutes from about 5:30 am to 8:30 pm, however, we suggest you check the timetable as it frequently changes. The price is 1500 KHR (about 0,4 dollars). Do not forget that you need to have small money for payment.
You might prefer the Shuttle, which costs around 5 dollars. The Red Line runs from Toyoko Inn from 10:50 am to 8:40 pm every 30 minutes, and the Orange Line one runs from Sofitel between 11:35 am and 9:35 pm every hour.
