How to Get from Salzburg City Center to Salzburg Airport and Other Destinations

Taxi from Salzburg

Public Transport from Salzburg
The most comfortable mode of transportation from Salzburg to Vienna is the train. The travel time will be about three hours, and the ticket price will depend on the time of buying it: the sooner you buy it, the cheaper it will be. On average, the fare is 30-60 euros. You can buy a ticket at the ticket office at the train station, and for some trains – right in the carriage.
It is also possible to get to Vienna by bus. Although a trip by this mode of transport will take you a little bit more time, you will be able to save a significant amount of money. The buses by Flixbus run between the cities two times a day. The fare is 30 euros, and the travel time is 3 hours and 40 minutes.
One can get to Vienna by Austrian Postbus. These buses run three times a day and reach the destination point just in 2 hours and 40 minutes. But a ticket for that bus will cost you 60 euros.
One can get to Munich by Flixbus as well. It runs six times a day, the fare is from 7 to 14 euros, and the travel time is about two hours.
Salzburg: useful information
This antique European city attracts a lot of tourists from around the world due to its many sights and beautiful buildings in baroque style.
