If you are thinking about how to get from the airport to Paris, then you can choose a bus, a train, a taxi, or a shared transfer. The Paris Airport bus runs on a strict timetable, and this trip will cost you €6 and will take you about 1 hour and 20 minutes. The Charles de Gaulle Airport train RER will take you to Paris in half an hour and for €10. The trip by shared transfers and shuttles such as Roissy and AirFrance will cost from €11.5 and will take tourists to Paris city centre in an hour. The distance between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris is about 30 km, depending on the route chosen.
If you have lots of experience travelling abroad and have no large luggage, the best way for you to save money will be taking public transport: Paris Airport-Paris trains or buses. Remember that by using public transport, you risk getting into a traffic jam and spend much more time on your trip than planned. But travellers who are planning to spend a few days in Paris, can buy a season ticket for several trips at Charles de Gaulle Airport and use it for almost all kinds of land transport. Mothers with children, aged people and inexperienced tourists who are afraid of getting lost, we recommend to take a private transfer or a taxi from Charles de Gaulle Airport. Using a more money-saving option - a shared transfer - you will get to Paris city centre faster than using a usual bus, but slower than using a taxi.
Many tourists are attracted by the romantic image of the city which inspires them for both unhurried walks and serious excursions. The main sights of Paris are known throughout the world: the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, the famous Moulin Rouge (Red Mill) cabaret, and many others. All tourists arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport and then go from it to thousands of hotels which are waiting for guests from around the world 24/7.
Paris Airport buses are less comfortable and not so fast as commercial ones. But they have two doubtless advantages: low ticket cost and night journeys. You can reach Paris city centre at daytime by routes N350 and N351, and at nighttime - by N140 and N143. The travel time will be about an hour and a half (and less than an hour at night). The Charles de Gaulle Airport bus is a good option for those who are travelling without large luggage and small children, and it is the opportunity to save money and take a look at the suburbs of Paris out the window.

The Charles de Gaulle Airport train line from Paris Airport (RER-ligne B) allows tourists to get to the city centre at a relatively inexpensive price and without traffic jams. Though the fare is a little higher than it is for city buses, the trip takes only half an hour. However, we do not recommend this form of transport for travellers with a lot of suitcases. There is no separate place for luggage on Charles de Gaulle Airport trains.

Train stations are located in Terminals 2 and 3 of Charles de Gaulle Airport. If you are arriving in Terminal 1, take the free CDGVal shuttle bus to get to Terminal 3. Inside the terminal, follow the «Gares SNCF» signs (the last abbreviation means "railroad").
Attention! There is also the SNCF TGV railway (high-speed trains) at the airport, but you won't get to Paris using it. These trains go from Charles de Gaulle Airport to other cities in France (Lille, Toulouse, Nice, etc.).
You can take the Paris Airport shuttle (such as Roissy, AirFrance lines 2 and 4, or some private companies) to get from the airport terminals to Paris city centre. The cost of an adult ticket for Paris Airport transfers is much higher than it is for public transport (up to €18). It will take 1 hour to reach Paris city centre. The cabin of the Charles de Gaulle Airport shuttle is of high comfort level and its staff will help you with your luggage. However, you risk getting into a traffic jam when travelling at daytime. If you decide to book a seat on a shared shuttle in advance, then a bus will take you right to the hotel.
