You can get from the airport to Antalya by bus, Havaş shuttle, or taxi. The trip by bus will cost you 3.4 Turkish lira and will take about 1.5 hours including waiting time. Shuttles are less frequent, and their ticket price is higher – 10 lira. They will take you to Antalya in 1.5 hours (depending on their schedule). Taxis and transfers operate 24/7 and will get you to the city in 40 minutes (the price starts from $31). If you are thinking about how to get from the airport to Antalya on your own, note that the distance between the airport and the city is 14 km.
City buses are cheap, but they are not convenient for carrying luggage, and the seats are not comfortable, as well. Havaş shuttles with comfortable seats and air conditioning is a great option. However, they are not available at night, are more expensive, and depart from the airport once an hour. Taxis and transfers, though being more comfortable, are more expensive. Experienced travellers don’t recommend to take a taxi on the spot, for there are many illegal drivers among those who meet tourists at the airport – they can tamper with the taximeter or take the longest route to earn “backsheesh”.
Though many tourists come to Kemer, Side, Beldibi and Alanya, it’s Antalya where most charter flights arrive in. Antalya consists of the Old City and the New City, and it’s the administrative centre of the province of the same name. The city is located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, and many tourists prefer staying here than going anywhere else, since city has lots of hotels and night life attractions. Those who want to enjoy the real Turkish fairytale, should visit Kaleici Marina, Ataturk Museum, Suna and Inan Museum Kyrach, Yivli Minare Mosque, Iskele Church, and other historic spots of the city.
City buses №600 and 600A from Antalya Airport to the city can also get you to the old Kaleici centre, Lara and Konyaalti districts, as well as the central railway station and Migros mall – route taxis can bring you to neighbouring provinces from there. The ticket for the bus costs just 3.4 lira, but the buses are rather old. There is only one journey at night - at 3:45 a.m.

We recommend this option everyone who is afraid to get lost in an unfamiliar city and doesn't speak English (if you book a transfer, an English-speaking operator will help you with that).
